Level 300
After the discussion activity, we finally polished off the Reality TV chapter.
Homework:  Please do the "Predict" questions on p. 11, then read (or at least skim) the 3 articles on pp. 12-14, in preparation for next week.

Level 400
The students had a good discussion about the warm-up activity, then we covered the remainder of Ch. 2 (the Reading and subsequent exercises), finishing up with group discussions about the questions about food globalization.

Saturday, May 10

Level 1 – We started with an interview activity about golden week and then we completed unit 1.

For homework, please choose 3 of your favorite photos and write 3 sentences about each of them. Here is an example: This is a picture of my grandson and me. It was taken by my husband in Kyoto last year. I like it because it reminds me of the great day we had at Kiyomizudera together. Try to bring the pictures to next week’s class so that you can show them to your classmates.

Level 3 – We started class with a brief interview activity about golden week and then we completed most of your homework from last week. Next class, we will start with discussion question 2 on page 7.

For homework, could you please read page 8 and answer the questions on page 9.

Level 4 - We started class with a brief interview activity about golden week and then finished pages 7 – 9 from the textbook. Finally, we discussed the discussion questions that Susette assigned in the previous lesson in small groups.

For homework, please read page 10 again and answer all of the questions on pages 11 and 12. Remember that you need to make 2 of your own discussion questions for each unit. We will discuss the questions that you have prepared for unit 2 next week.
